Do you know the story of an elephant in the circus?

There was once an elephant at the circus, tethered by a small chain that he could easily break if he tried. You might wonder why he doesn’t. The answer lies in his past—when he was young, he tried again and again but failed. Over time, he stopped trying, convinced it was impossible. Similarly, we often hold ourselves back, trapped by old beliefs and past experiences, doubting our ability to change our lives.

For nearly 30 years, I felt just like that elephant. I pursued a university major with promising prospects—earning a Bachelor’s degree in Sinology (Chinese)—believing it would lead to a stable career, a family, a house with a garden and a dog. I worked as a project manager for an international company, traveling the globe and leading a team. Yet, as the years went by, I felt increasingly stuck, unable to change my circumstances or take control of my life. Eventually, I reached a breaking point: burnout, depression and a cascade of health issues left me physically and emotionally depleted. I realized I couldn’t continue living this way.

Then, yoga therapy found me and everything changed. It marked the beginning of a transformative journey of self-discovery. Over the years, I delved deep into the ancient practices of yoga, breathwork, meditation, yoga nidra, the divine feminine and coaching. This path led me to uncover my true purpose: helping others reclaim their inner power and restore balance in their lives.
